The 2018 Latin Arts Juried Art Show is sponsored by Centro Latino and the City of Tacoma Arts Commission. The theme of the 2018 Latin Arts Juried Art Show is: “Connectivity in Motion: Ancient but not Forgotten.” This theme is an acknowledgement of the survival hardships associated with forced migration and the unremitting resilience to keep one’s family and community united. Despite the seemingly unending persecution, the union of Latin peoples to the profound accomplishments of Ancient Inca, Mayan and Aztec civilizations is a rich inheritance that cannot be appropriated.
