A major objective of the Latin Arts Festival and Juried Art Show and Film Contest Volunteer program is to provide interested community organizations and individuals with an opportunity to help promote and implement a cultural festival and art show. Volunteers will experience positive mentoring relationships while learning what is involved in producing a successful art presentation and entertainment event.
The 2017 Latin Arts Festival Juried Art Show and Film contest offers exposure to organizing art exhibits and staging musical performances, presentation of ceremonial pageants, showcasing event sponsors and vendors, interacting with civic and business leaders and provision of a high-quality customer service program. As a volunteer, you will be able to offer your know-how and enjoy making new global acquaintances.
Volunteer work categories associated with planning and implementation of the 2017 Latin Arts Festival and Juried Art Show are as follows:
Event Planning Committee member: This volunteer assignment involves attending monthly (second Thursday of each month) meetings from 1:oo pm to 2:30 pm. The Event Planning Committee gathers to define and plan program elements and to identify resource networks for carrying out the Festival and Juried Art Show events.
Festival Operations: Volunteers are needed to execute the 2017 Latin Festival day (August 26, 2017) Specific volunteer work tasks will include Sponsor and Vendor promotion, implementation of Green Event and Waste Management program elements, guest relations and logistics for festival day setup and tear down.
Juried Art Show and Film Contest Operations: The Juried Art Show and Film Contest exhibits are scheduled from August 14 through August 26, 2016. Volunteers are needed to plan and carry out arrangements for, staging art displays, hosting jurors and providing docent services for Juried Art Show and Film Contest visitors.
